New Class in Croydon
The Academy is proud to present a new class in London Borough of Croydon. The class is for students aged four years and above, and is open to both beginners and advanced students. Master Martins Obiorah (4th dan WTF) will be teaching this class, helped by some of the black belts within the Academy who wish to train to become instructors. The new venue will be Addiscombe Boys & Girls Club, 45 Stroud Green Way, Croydon,CR0 7BE. directions. there will be a free lesson on Saturday 26th May for new students who wish to try out the martial arts class. call 07970382889 for further details.
May Bank Holidays
The academy will be closed on Monday 7th and 28th of May 2012. Students should be please attend alternative classes please follow link to find classes and make up for lost sessions.
Capital Cup
Seven students from the Academy will be competing at this years Capital Cup. Experienced fighters such as Jaden Smith, Megan Smith, Laura francis, will be joined by Upcoming athletes Josephine Allen,Daniel Lee, and first Timers Shadath Chowdhury and John Arobaga who will be competing at the veteran category.Watch this space for more.

Two New Black Belts at the Academy
The academy is proud to announce the induction of two students to the Best leg Taekwondo Academy black belt ranks. Cadets Megan Smith and Laura Francis successfully passed their 1st dan black belt test at the National grading seminar in Mansfield. Jake Egelnick, Samuel Baraitser, and Max Baraitser also successfully passed the 2nd dan promotional test at the Event. Our next student hoping to achieve his black belt later in the year in November 2012 is Joey Weller our best student of the year 2009.

Medal Haul at the Nationals
Fantastic performance for students of the Academy at the 2012 National Chungdokwan Taekwondo Championships.Best Leg was represented by six students, and came home with a total of 7 medals. 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze. Jacobus Crowe continued his blistering performance from previous tournaments in 2011, by winning a gold medal at the -37kg peewee male category. Lucas Crowe another upcoming athlete from the Crowe fighting clan won his first fight, but lost to future Taekwondo club in the semi finals, losing in the semi finals guaranteed him a bronze medal, and lots of experience at the -34kg peewee male category. Jaden Smith our 2011 student of the year, won 3 fights, and defeated the student from Future Taekwondo (who had earlier defeated our own Lucas crowe) in the finals, ensuring the Gold medal for the -34kg peewee category comes home to the Club. Laura Francis won a bronze medal at the Poomsae Event, and a Gold medal at the -41kg cadet female category. Lastly Megan Smith won a silver medal at the Poomsae event, and a Silver medal at the - 51kg cadet female category. picture will be coming soon!
New Instructor Joins the Academy
Mr Kari Gnoan will be joining our club as an assistant instructor, mainly helping out on Thursday sparring sessions, while Ms Jukhee Kwon continues to work with us on Mondays to strengthen our poomsae squad, and also Friday classes. Kari comes to our academy with lots of experience as an elite fighter and has competed in various National and International Taekwondo tournaments winning medals such as Bronze at the Swedish International open 2002, Silver at the Danish International open 2003,and 3 times gold medallist at the British International Open. Kari is a qualified instructor since 2009 and is CRB checked.
