Best Leg Academy Triumphs at High-Level Taekwondo Competition

The Best Leg Taekwondo Academy recently showcased its remarkable talent at a prestigious taekwondo competition, achieving outstanding results in both Poomsae and Sparring events.

Over 40 athletes from the academy participated in the two-day competition, with many experiencing high-level competition for the first time. The event provided a fantastic platform for students to demonstrate their skills and dedication in front of a supportive crowd of friends and family.

Poomsae Precision

The Poomsae competition highlighted the students’ exceptional progress, with marked improvements in accuracy and overall presentation. Their hard work and commitment translated into a collection of 7 medals, including 2 Silvers and 5 Bronze.

Sparring Spectacle

The Sparring event was equally thrilling, with Best Leg athletes securing an impressive 11 medals – 2 Golds, 5 Silvers, and 6 Bronze.

Several students delivered standout performances, including:

• Elizabeth Gyimah and Elvylotta Cameron Johansson, who both earned Bronze medals in the Female -26kg category
• Mokoreoluwa Ajai, who claimed Gold in the Female +26kg category
• Gabriella Obiorah, who secured Silver in the same weight class

The Children’s categories also saw remarkable achievements, with:

• Olive Carter winning Bronze in the -29kg category
• Signey Cameron – Johansson taking home Silver in the -32kg category
• Aiyana Savage displaying exceptional skill and determination to win Silver in the Female -32kg category

In the Male -44kg category, Lowri Hughes and Romeo Tse both earned Bronze medals, while the experienced Veronica Jones secured a well-deserved Gold in the Female cadet -55kg category.
